Talkin' 'Bout my Generation...

Anyone who was BORN in the 50's - 60's-70's...We are the last generation who played in the street. We are the 1st who played video games & the last to record songs off the radio on a cassette tape. We walked over a mile w/no worries on being taken...Learned how to program the VCR before anyone else...Played from Atari ...to Nintendo...We are the generation of Tom and Jerry/Looney Toons & Captain K...angaroo...We traveled in cars w/out seat belts or air-bags & lived without cell phones. We did not have flat screens, surround sound, iPods, Facebook, Twitter, computers & the Internet...But nevertheless we had a GREAT time ♥ Re-post if you're a 50's, 60's or 70's baby ONLY

Day after Christmas Hunt

Well, the weather was decent at 42 degrees this afternoon, so I had a short 1.5 hour hunt at a local park...I only hunted the bark chips, as the grass was a soggy mess...Did not get much, but what I did get, was interesting.  I tried a different method of using the Pro Zero mode...I had Iron DISC at 00, and Iron Audio ON...I really like this way of hunting, as I can hear ALL targets, but still discriminate by ear what I want to dig...
Oldest coin was a 1947 Canadian nickel...Also found a 2001 5 Euro Cent, and a broken 9" section of copper and glass necklace (what I call Barbie Bling (FAKE))...

Unusually Warm here

It has been unusually warm here, but the ground is too muddy for me to go out in...if I drove, or had a place ot change after hunting, I might go out, but when I have to walk back home after hunting all wet and muddy, it makes for a miserable me...:(

Sent my Best Finds Story into Garrett

Last month I sent my metal detecting story into Garrett about finding this copper and turquoise ring:

Last month I got the silver and black patch and the book under it...this month I got the other patch and the book under it...
this was a mistake by Garrett in sending me 2 items for 1 story, but I will take it...Garrett has been good to me so far...

Research Mode

Well, I am in research mode now...Not sure if I will get out anymore till spring...been looking at all the creeks and streams near me on Google Earth...the only thing it does not tell me is how deep and how fast these creeks run...
